Skeng and other typefaces

Type design · Typefaces, Animations

Skeng is a segmented mono variable typeface that reacts to sound amplitude. I use it as a tool to visualise songs from my own album. Its three axes respond to the sound independently: shape changes the segment shape, width changes the width of each character, and height changes the space between segments.

The last image shows other typefaces still under occasional development.
